About Alex Dappen

BIO: Alex's passion for photography began at a young age when his father handed Alex a disposable camera to keep him occupied. Raised in Columbus, Ohio, Alex spent most of his time outside exploring the wilderness, and found photography to be an excellent tool to share his experiences and explorations with others. For the past five years Alex lived in Flagstaff, Arizona where he studied photojournalism at Northern Arizona University. In December 2009 he graduated with a communications degree in photojournalism. Today he lives in Denver, Colorado where he is working as a freelance photographer and a contributing writer to www.seethesouthwest.com. Alex enjoys a variety of photography styles including landscape, architecture, portraits, automotive, sports, and travel.
